ONE IS GREAT, NOW TWO IS BETTER
Just put together the one that came today. Ran it around for a little while, and then ordered another from Amazon. I don't know why I didn't get one of these sooner. I guess I remember this as a kid and just didn't want it because it was old. Hauling out the vacuum, even a light weight, is no fun, and this does the trick. Now I have one for both up and downstairs. A reminder that old doesn't always mean useless.

Well worth every penny.
Yes, my cat scratch pad chad is swept up as fast as he makes it. Just once around the house on my low carpet and linoliem keeps my place neat until I pull out the vacum. The small brush rake that convieniently attaches to the pole works marvously. So well worth every penny.

Tested removal of cat hair, cat litter and cat litter dust on high-pile carpet, medium-pile area rug and porcelain tile floors
I have a multi-cat household, including two long-haired cats, and I needed something that would pick up cat hair and cat litter on all of my floor surfaces so that I didn't need to bring out my vacuum cleaner daily. I have a vacuum that uses disposable bags rather than being bagless and I didn't want to be filling up a bag with cat hair and having to change the bag frequently or get cat litter dust throughout my high-end vacuum cleaner. The reviews for the different brands of carpet sweepers and the different models of Fuller Brush sweepers were confusing but I bought the Fuller Brush 17052 Electrostatic Carpet Sweeper based on my experience with Fuller Brush products and hoped it would meet my needs. I have a Prime membership and the sweeper was delivered today (Sunday) two days after I ordered it. NOTE: Although the picture of the item on amazon.com is pink, mine is a bright red. Putting sweeper together: It is important to make sure you are starting to thread the ends of sections and the bottom section of the handle to the sweeper correctly (i.e. start out straight/even; not crooked) so that they completely close together. It was easier for me to screw one section of the handle at a time starting at the bottom section being screwed into the base and then adding another section until the entire handle is screwed together rather than trying to screw the long handle already assembled onto the sweeper body. The plastic comb or rake just clips onto the bottom of the handle and wire bracket of the sweeper which is very handy to keep from misplacing it since you will need it to brush or rake the roller brush to remove cat hair that gets caught in the bristles of the roller. This model only comes with a natural bristle roller brush therefore I was not able to test the second type of roller brush that some Fuller Brush models come with. I tested the sweeper on all my floor surfaces that were covered with cat litter and cat hair: high pile wall-to-wall carpet, medium-pile area rug and porcelain tile. The sweeper picked up cat litter and cat hair off high pile carpeting, area rugs and hard tile floors. The reviewers who complained that you had to go over the same area several times to remove all of the cat hair and litter were correct, but I don't see that as a genuine problem---if I was sweeping my tile floors with a broom, I would have to go over the same path several times and my vacuum cleaner usually has to go over the same path to pick up cat hair or cat litter from high pile carpeting and med. pile throw rugs. The sections of the handle are screwed together and I did notice that I must inadvertently turn the handle as I am using the sweeper since I need to tighten two sections if they are no longer tightly screwed together---this may cease to be a problem once I am used to the sweeper. It is very light and easy to use on all of the floor surfaces going forward or back and the main path that the head covers is 7" with the bristles on the four corners bringing the length of the sweeper head to 8 1/2". The other reviewers are correct----it doesn't do away with the need for a vacuum cleaner but is an adjunct to your vacuum--very important if you are like me and have cat hair and litter on your floors daily. To empty sweeper: Over a waste paper basket or trash container, turn the sweeper upside down and press "PUSH" to empty each dust container. I filled one dust container twice; emptied it twice and the other dust container remained empty. Use the rake or comb to get the cat hair out of the bristles of the roller and I found that if you use the comb to bring the cat hair up you can then pull it off the roller with your fingers. You will be amazed at the amount of cat hair that will be on the roller and in the dust container and the amount of litter and litter dust that the sweeper has gotten off your floors. The bottom of the sweeper was very dusty from the cat litter and needed to be wiped off with a paper towel or cloth when I finished. NOTE: You can't use harsh abrasive cleaners or put the sweeper or roller in your automatic dishwasher. The instruction sheet that comes with the sweeper is easy to understand and must have been written by someone whose first language was English---which I greatly appreciate! This carpet sweeper appears to be well made and durable; and is a bargain at the price. I have no idea why other Fuller Brush carpet sweeper products vary in price----perhaps newer models, two types vs just one type of roller brush, etc. Based on the results of my test and the two Fuller Brush nylon hair brushes that my mother and then I have used constantly since 1950 (which still look brand new other than one has slightly yellowed), I think I will be using this sweeper for years to come and probably daily around cat litter boxes. I highly recommend this carpet sweeper. I hope this information will be useful to you in selecting a carpet sweeper if you have cats.

Works well if used as intended
I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised with how well it actually works. Cat food and type things you find on a kitchen floor swept up pretty good. Go back and forth some at times and it picks up real well. It works well on the living rooms carpet also. It picked up things tracked in from outside, food droppings like crumbs and stuff, cat hair, paper clip, small pieces of paper, etc. Keep in mind it's small. That's good for what it's used for. Small isolated areas to keep neat. It doesn't replace a vacuuming of the carpet (unless you dropped something) or a mopping of the kitchen floor. I like it. Basically instead of grabbing a broom you grab this thing. I read other reviews so I made sure the handle was screwed in "very" tight. I've had no handle issues and it's long enough for the most part. I'm 5'8" tall and it's at arm length when I push it outward. It's convenient to use and works better than a broom.

You'll want to buy a short-sleved work shirt with a name tag on it as soon as you use it.
First of all, you need to stop futzing around and just buy this thing. It is absolutely more than you want/need. I just have a 12 X 12 carpet in my apt but that's big enuf to see what this little soldier can accomplish. It comes with the handle in 3 parts and they just screw together like how handles do. The handle screws on to the main unit and stays tight, maybe just twist it once in a while. And the thing stays upright! I JUST now realized that! I was looking at it while I was typing this review and just noticed it stands straight up no problem! How bout that. I was flipping the bottom part up and leaning it against the wall this whole time. So it stores easy, then. You can flip it up if you need to, or just set it on any flat surface. Anyway the things a tank. But it's light - a little lighter than you think - and moves easy. SO easy. It isn't really built to turn and yet you'll be dancing with this baby right off the bat. It gets low and under stuff easy, too. Best, of course is that it's does just what you want. It gets the little bits of crud - paper, crumbs, string, hair etc. - that you can see. Those come RIGHT up. All those little bits on the carpet that our moms spent A THOUSAND HOURS bending over and picking up are gone in a breeze. You WILL be amazed when you are done with it. I say WOW every single time I use it. It's not a substitute for vacuuming except - yes it is! It is! This thing picks up ALL the visible crud and somehow even a little more (you'll see what I mean). So it DOES mean you can forgo the vacuum except for deep cleaning once in a while. But wait till you brush your rug/carpet and THEN vacuum it with your regular vacuum. Your vacuum will be so much more enthusiastic without all those little bits of crap making it all wheezey and sulky. Generally, using this brush will give your vacuum a much better attitude about it's job. It's easy to empty right over the trash. Just push where it says push and give a little shake. And wait till you see what you pick up. You were living with all that! Ya vagrant. It's also basically silent which is great for apt dwellers or night owls or whatever. And I bet you could get that knuckle-headed spouse (OK Husband) of yours to use it! You could get one for your wife, and she'd love it (but if you buy a wife/girlfriend/s.o. a cleaning tool, they might/should punch you so be creative). And I bet you could even get a kid to use it! Just ask them to vacuum and when they act like their world is being torn apart, give them the brush to use! I'm telling you, a kid will realize what a natural "shortcut" this thing is and be all over it. And they might even remember to empty it out when they're finished (well....) You will love this brushuum! (JUST made that up). It will never not amaze you when you are done with it. You'll be humming away zip-zippin that little guy around like a champ. Maybe even get you a little rag for that back pocket, a shirt with a name tag, some sensible custodial shoes, a belt with some keys on it, and you'll have that place spotless like a true pro!

Better than 'Good', it's incredible
Fantastic sweeper works so much better than I dared hope. My vacuum is heavy and this is perfect for daily clean ups. I intend to send one as a gift to a family in the Air Force to take when transferred. It's so compact, but does a wonderful job of picking up things you don't even see.

Fuller Brush Professional Carpet Sweeper
This is exactly what I wanted when I ordered it. I have a central vac system but didn't want to drag that out for small jobs. This works great, nothing needs to be plugged in and it's easy to empty. If this is what you're looking for, this product does it and it's reasonably priced. Five stars!

Great for pet hair on rugs and carpet
We have a shedding dog. Our floors are all tile and I have been using a Swiffer sweeper to pick up hair off of the tile but was having to drag out the power head vacuum to get the hair off of several large area rugs. I bought this to use on the rugs and it works great. It is sturdy and is easy to push around. And it picks up a lot more than hair. Cleaning The dust containers and brushes can get messy so I usually take it outside for a thorough cleaning. I didn't know Fuller Brush was still around. I have a 40 year old Fuller lint brush that still works like new. This product appears to have the same level of quality and hopefully will also last a long time.

I am disabled and can't walk so I needed something ...
I am disabled and can't walk so I needed something light weight for my upstairs level. Works as expected and does what its suppose to do. Couldn't drag my 10 ton Kirby up from the main level. BTW, Never buy a Kirby.

Just what I was looking for!
I have hardwood floors and kilim rugs, and a dog and cats. This sweeper is exactly what I needed! It easily and quietly picks up everything in its path - pet hair, cat litter, dust, crumbs; it picked up a leaf today, and a bobby pin! - it's as easy to store and take out of the cupboard as a broom, and as easy to use. Unlike other sweepers, the handle pieces don't just push together (and come apart when you're using it) - they screw together, so they stay together. It's low enough to go under furniture and the edge of the fridge. And it doesn't scare the cats. I can't recommend it highly enough!
